To turn text or blocks into a new object in Capacities:
Select the block(s) you want to convert
Click "Turn into" and choose the desired object type
The selected text becomes the title of the new object
Any indented child blocks are added as content in the new object
This allows you to quickly create new objects like Zettels, projects, tasks, etc. directly from your notes. The original text is replaced with a link to the newly created object.
Please note that tags, PDFs and images cannot be turned into a different object type.
How can I change the display name of a linked object?
Sometimes the name of an object doesn't quite fit the context you're working in, but you still want to link to it.
I can't change the view of my link or my query.
If your link is underlined, click on it whilst olding down the Option key (Mac) or the Alt key (Windows). Click 'Turn into block'. Then you will see three dots on the right hand side of the block. Click that, then go to 'Change view'.
